Forum visibility is controlled by the Visibility Attribute for the forum:
- Public – Anyone can see a Public forum
- Private – Only logged-in registered users can see these forums
- Hidden – Only Moderators or Keymasters can see these forums
Additionally, Group Forums provide an additional layer. Group Forums are only accessible to registered users who are members of that group. For example, when someone registers, they automatically are joined to the Member group and have access tot he Member Forum and any child forums under Member Forum.
Forum Roles also factor in who can create new forums. Only Moderators and Keymasters can create new forums.
